Dylan Charlton (b. 2003, Chico, CA) is a multi-media artist who earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing at California State University, Chico in 2025. During his studies he worked at the A Gallery and the Jacki Headley University Art Gallery, where his engagement with curatorial theory and gallery productions informed the conceptual trajectory of his practice. Charlton’s work explores institutional frameworks; how they construct cultural narratives, mediate access, and intersect with individual histories. This approach positions his studio practice as a site for examining the reciprocal relationship between personal experience and the systems that contextualize it.
